Pismo Beach is on the Central Coast of California, approximately halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. There are a variety of ways to get here for our wedding weekend.
By Air...
There is a small regional airport in San Luis Obispo (SLO). Both United Airlines and US Airways have daily flights from Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Francisco. Flights may be slightly higher than flying into San Jose or Los Angeles, but deals and comparable fares have been known to be available. It's worth it to check it out, and compare costs and time. If flying into this airport, you can rent a car, or use one of the many shuttle or cab companies to get to Pismo Beach.
If you prefer to fly into an airport serviced by more airlines and destinations we recommend flying into San Jose International Airport (SJC). From there you can rent a car, and enjoy the approximately 3 hour drive down Highway 101 South.
Other airports within a 3-4 hour window include:
Northern California: Oakland International Airport (OAK) , San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
Southern California: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Burbank Airport (BUR)

Check out Amtrak if you’d like to take the Pacific Surfliner or Coast Starlight along the California coastline from either Los Angeles or Oakland. Tickets are between $50 and $75 each way and it’s at least a 5 and a 1/2 hour ride from L.A. and a 6 and a 1/2 hour ride from Oakland. From the Amtrak station you can either take a shuttle or cab to Pismo Beach, or coordinate with another wedding guest for a pick-up. ;-)
